Panelists:

Ralph Begleiter is Professor of Communication Emeritus at the University of Delaware and has had a significant impact on programming in political communication at UD, founding the Center for Political Communication, a multi-disciplinary program of teaching, research and events focusing on the use of digital technology in campaigns and public affairs.

Tom Byrne, News Director for Delaware Public Media (DPM), became news director for DPM’s online predecessor, DFM News, in 2010, overseeing the launch of the news service and guiding its two-year expansion and transition to Delaware Public Media, an NPR member station. He leads DPM’s reporting, editing, and on-air staff and is responsible for daily news operations and coverage decisions.

Andrew M. Goretsky, Ed.D. is the Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) Philadelphia office, serving Eastern PA, Southern NJ, and DE. ADL is a leading anti-hate organization with a more than 100-year-old mission to “Fight the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure Justice and Fair Treatment to All.”

Rep. Cyndie Romer represents the 25th Representative District and currently serves as chair of the Technology & Telecommunications Committee and boasts an impressive 25-year career in the Tech industry, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her public service position.

Rep. Bryan Shupe represents the 36th Representative District. He founded the Milford Live local media outlet at age 26 and has since become CEO of the Delaware LIVE News network that covers statewide, and local news and live streams local high school sports.

Sen. Bryan Townsend represents the 11th Senatorial District. Senator Townsend is Senate Majority Leader and with his master’s degree focus on philosophy and Juris Doctorate from the Yale Law School, he brings a unique perspective.

$40 registration fee (covers breakfast and lunch).
